Starting June 1st, register and pick up your first reading log at the Information Desk. Bring the logs back every 5 books for a small prize and a raffle ticket for the grand prize: a travel backpack stuffed with trip essentials and extra goodies! Last day to turn in logs is July 31st; the winner will be drawn the first full week of August. Happy reading and good luck!

Saturday, July 27 from 10 am – 3 pm
Characters across the multiverse – you are called to team up for a mini comic con! We’ll end the summer on a BANG during this all-ages event. All-day activities will include local artist and comic book store booths, trivia, a selfie wall, a costume contest, and giveaways. Two timed events will be held in the Board Room: a beginner D&D workshop from 11 am – 1 pm, and a community art jam from 1 – 3 pm. Middle and high school volunteers will be able to sign up to prepare for and work this event.

High School Volunteer Group

First Thursdays at 6 pm: June 6 and September 5 (no August meeting)
July’s meeting rescheduled for Monday, July 8 at 6 pm
Do you need service hours for graduation, confirmation, or Scouting? The library has a volunteer group for teens grades 9 and beyond! Monthly meetings in the Teen Zone count for 1 hour of dedicated service time.
Extra hours will be available during the summer to help with the Green Space Project and prepare for Mini Comic Con on July 27th! Attend the June 6th meeting for details and signup sheets.

Life Skills for Teens Workshop Series

Join Dr. Tashena Briggs from H&H Higher Education Services on Fridays this summer to brush up on life skills. Effective communication and time management are both key to successes in school, relationships, and life in general.
